Rachel Deloffre

"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." --Albert Einstein Rachel

Background

Prior to joining DCI in 2011, Rachel worked for two years with a boutique PR firm in Denver that specializes in representing technology companies.

Rachel graduated from Northern Arizona University with degrees in public relations, advertising and French. During college, she studied in France and completed internships with Intel Corp.; Fleishman-Hillard in London; Howorth, Ogilvy PR’s technology division, in Sydney; and her university’s office of public affairs.

Rachel’s Passion for Places

Rachel caught the travel bug on a trip to Europe in high school and has been traveling ever since. In college, during her studies and internships abroad, she was on her way to a new city or country nearly every weekend – whether she was exploring the ancient city of Dubrovnik, Croatia, finding the best restaurant in Melbourne, Australia, or checking out the famous red stairs at the Cannes Film Festival. Rachel is truly passionate about discovering what each place has to offer and sharing it with others.

Surprising Facts about Rachel

Oui, je parle Français!
After telling her mom at the age of four that she wanted to learn French, Rachel went on to study the language in high school and double major in it in college. Her fluency, however, didn’t really improve until she met her husband, a French native, while studying abroad in Strasbourg, France. A true test of her language skills was playing translator when the couple’s parents met for the first time prior to their wedding – neither set of parents spoke the same language.

Acrobat Extraordinaire
Rachel grew up doing dance and gymnastics and insisted her parents keep the living room clear of furniture when she was younger so that she and her sister could practice tumbling and choreograph dance routines. To this day, Rachel still enjoys practicing her skills by walking on her hands and taking adult gymnastics classes along with yoga several times a week.

One Big Recessive Gene
