Background:

Gaye joined DCI in October 2011 with more than 15 years of experience in public relations, communications and marketing. She has a successful track record in developing and implementing communication plans that result in high visibility for clients covering a wide range of converging media, including broadcast and cable TV, satellite and online programming services. Gaye is a creative and strategic thought leader, collaborative hands-on manager and skilled negotiator on behalf of her clients.

Gaye’s Passion for Places:

Having grown up in a small town in Ohio, Gaye always had a desire to travel to other places to experience other customs and cultures. After graduating from Youngstown State University in Ohio, she moved across the country to make her home in Southern California. Over the years, her travels have taken her to nearly all 50 U.S. states and abroad to Europe.

Gaye has a true passion for travel and absolutely loves having the opportunity to experience new and fascinating destinations across the globe, whether it’s a small village or a large metropolitan city. She feels that each place is unique and offers an opportunity to learn and explore.

Notable Results :

  • Gaye helped to create a travelling version of Bravo’s mega-hit TV show Top Chef to gain viewers in small and mid-sized markets where the show was not yet well known. The travelling show brought past Top Chef participants out to local markets for chef demonstrations and contests. It was embraced by local broadcasters and newspapers across the country and ratings for the show grew substantially each year as a direct result of local media placements.
  • For Los Angeles Magazine, Gaye’s collaborated to create the Los Angeles Magazine Food Event designed to showcase the magazine as LA’s eminent source for culinary arts. The annual event now attracts hundreds of LA foodies, celebrity chefs, wine experts, restaurants, wineries and media. She arranged for a special partnership with the NBC affiliate KTLA for broadcast coverage the entire week leading up to the event, featuring weekly chef demonstrations and on-air giveaways. As a result, the magazine has experienced a 10% increase in subscribers for its annual food issue year over year.
  • Gaye and her team successfully created the community outreach program Bravo: On with the Show – designed to increase awareness for the importance of arts education. The program garnered media attention from both local and national media outlets such as NBC’s Today Show, The New York Times and USA Today.

Living in the Los Angeles area has made Gaye fall in love with film. She loves all types of movies whether she’s watching them on the big screen, TV screen, computer monitor or smart phone. While it’s hard to choose just one favorite, when pressed for an answer, it would have to be the Woody Allen classic,  Annie Hall.

Where You’ll Find Gaye On the Weekend:

With two teenage kids and a husband, Gaye can usually be found racing from soccer games to football games to local theater performances to watch her kids perform. After a long day of family activities, her favorite thing to do on a Saturday evening is to curl up on the couch with her husband, a nice glass of wine and a cheese plate and watch….you guessed it…a movie.

While you wouldn’t know it to look at her, Gaye is a huge NBA basketball fan. In fact, she loves her Los Angeles Lakers and has actually attended three victory parades given in their honor when they won back-to-back-to- back championships!

One of Gaye’s cherished memories is when she attended the Cannes Film Festival and had the opportunity to walk the red carpet and up the stairs of the famed Palace for the Palme d’Or film premiere.

Gaye believes whole heartedly that it is possible to have it all… a fulfilling career…volunteer roles at both of her kids’ schools…team mom for her daughter’s soccer team and son’s football team,along with anything else life throws her way!
