Surprising Facts about Bill
Bringing Coals to Newcastle
A few years back while on vacation in Belgium, Bill served as a guest brewer at a small brewery just outside of Bruges. After brewing a batch of beer from his own recipe, he also designed a series of labels for the beers in his signature cartoon style. Considering that Belgium is world-renowned for both beer and comic strips, it was quite a thrill.
Comic Relief
One of Bill’s hobbies is producing a regular comic strip called “Salty Dog” for Ale Street News, a beer-themed newspaper that appears nationwide. He also co-founded a Brooklyn-based homebrew club that has met in Williamsburg for 17 years.
Lights, Camera, Action
Bill knows more than the average fan when it comes to movies, because he trained in one of New York’s well-known film industry schools, School of Visual Arts, earning a bachelor’s degree in film. Bill’s cinema training opened access to his creative skills.
