Account Executive/Inside Sales Consultant 

Description 
Contacting a variety of companies, from a qualified prospect list, to interview executives and set up face to face meetings for our economic development clients. Managing communications between the internal account team and clients to promote long term relationships. Gathering background information on a broad range of companies and preparing detailed reports for clients. Following trends in various industries and the related effect on domestic and international economic development. Generating ideas and implementing creative direct marketing campaigns for clients.

Candidate must have: Minimum 1 to 3 years experience in inside/ outside sales, customer service, or outbound telemarketing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to make a significant amount of phone calls each day. Interest in speaking with corporate level executives in a wide variety of industries to discuss strategic planning initiatives. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects for diverse clients. High energy level with a results-orientated attitude. Available for periodic travel to client communities and industry events. Functional experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Act! Bachelor’s Degree required, experience in Economic Development, Sales, or Public Relations are a plus.

Junior-Level Account Executive

Travel PR Job Description:
Tourism account teams support the development, implementation and analysis of integrated communications and marketing programs for high-profile travel destination clients, including Chile, Dubai, Peru, Portland, Oregon and Williamsburg, Virginia, to increase consumer awareness.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, researching and writing press releases, backgrounders, and pitches; building target media lists; conducting telephone outreach; securing editorial placements and broadcast opportunities; developing consumer promotions; coordinating special events, press trips, and tradeshow displays; securing media tour interviews and appointments; managing internal databases and archives; and preparing internal and external client reports.

Candidates must be highly organized, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, have a strong motivation to achieve results, and possess a high-degree of personal excellence and professionalism. Spanish fluency and tourism/travel client experience a plus, but not required.

Junior-level account executive position requires a minimum of two years of communications/public relations/marketing agency experience. Weekend travel may be required. Competitive salary, based on experience, plus bonuses.
